Thank You, Mom

My mother, Kathryn Zaustinsky, and I purchased the Hawthorne Manor Apartments in 2015. As a co-owner, Mom loved the cute cottages and the garden with the orange tree. She cared about our tenants and often asked how they were doing. But really it was her love for me that caused her to contribute her hard-earned money. Mom passed away in 2019. I will be forever grateful for her love and help and I’m proud to take care of this sweet property we shared together. Thank you my dear Mom. Love your son, Michael

Additional Information

Interior photos show a remodeled cottage with furnishings to illustrate the look and feel with furniture and décor, however, the cottages are normally rented unfurnished.  The cottages are maintained in excellent condition and all have been updated with beautiful real wood window blinds, new lighting fixtures and high-grade paint throughout, in addition to other upgrades that vary by cottage.  The flooring, tile colors, private garden areas, arrangement of windows and other attributes are unique to each cottage.

We would like to thank ARTE DE LA VIDA, a vintage and new Mexican folk art store at 37 N. Tucson Blvd., and STAGE TUCSON, a professional staging company, for providing the furnishings and décor seen in our photos.

MIKE LELAND PHOTOGRAPHY: Many photos on this website were taken by Mike Leland, one of Tucson’s most talented photographers.  We are grateful for Mike’s great eye and technical ability!

We would also like to thank the people shown on our web site, who live, work and play in the Sam Hughes area, or did so when they were photographed.  They have graciously allowed us to include them in our promotion of the property and the neighborhood.
